Trapping a Duchess – Update

Hello, everyone!  Just a quick update from the TAD home front.  On January 20th, TAD went live on Podiobooks!  YAY!!!  You can, of course, continue to download episodes from this site.  The promos, intros, etc. are all here for your consumption.  The Podiobooks episodes are different in that they contain a standard intro and outro (no promos or me blathering).  The story, of course, is unchanged.  And, naturally, the conclusive episode available here contains a preview for At Journey’s End, the second book in the series, and my flub reel.  These extras are not available on Podiobooks due to time constraints.

Additionally, if you’re thinking of leaving feedback, I would appreciate that and request that you do so either at Podiobooks.com or on iTunes.  :)

As for me:  I”m cooking up a menu for Erotica a la Carte, getting ready for all things Balticon in May (where I will be participating on a few panels) and writing, writing, writing.

Trapping a Duchess – Episode 20 (The Conclusion)

Hello, everyone and welcome to Episode Twenty – the final episode – of my podcast novel Trapping a Duchess!

I want to thank each and every one of you for joining me for this most excellent of journeys!  I hope you have enjoyed listening to TAD as much as I’ve enjoyed podcasting it!  I could not have done it without your continued support!

This final installment is going to run a little bit longer than usual, so bear with me.  In addition to a promo for Philippa Ballantine’s new podcast novel Digital Magic, I’ve included a preview to At Journey’s End, the second novel in this series, as well as a probably too-long blooper reel…so be sure to listen to the end!  :)

In Episode 19, Sophie finally came to terms with her feelings and she and Andrew mended more than fences.

Trapping a Duchess – Episode 19

Hello, everyone and welcome to Episode Nineteen of my podcast novel Trapping a Duchess! We are only a few episodes from the end!  YAY!!!  I’ve had to do a bit of rewriting these last few chapters, so I’m not certain if we have one long or two short episodes left, but hang in there.  The ride is almost over!

In Episode 18, Andrew does the unthinkable to secure Sophie as his duchess.  How will our heroine react to this most recent attack?

Andrew has her, but can he hold her…
Sophie faces Andrew for the first time since the Braxton’s Ball when they are reunited at an engagement ball held in their honor.  But Sophie hasn’t had her say and matters between them are nowhere near settled.

As always, I would like to remind everyone that this novel contains adult themes and explicit sexual content and is intended for a mature audience. :)

Trapping a Duchess – Episode 18

Hello, everyone and welcome to Episode Eighteen of my podcast novel Trapping a Duchess! I confess…I lied before.  THERE ARE ONLY THREE EPISODES LEFT (excluding this one, of course)!!!  YAY!  While I have enjoyed podcasting TAD tremendously, I am excited to jump back into my next novel, At Journey’s End, which is the second in this series. Stay tuned for details…

In Episode 17, Sophie was faced with an important decision, one that’s weighing fairly heavily on her shoulders.  Will she decide before time runs out, or will Andrew be forced to take drastic measures?

Their perilous journey continues…
And this time, there’s a whole new reason for the Ton’s excited little whispers.

Trapping a Duchess – Episode 17

Hello, everyone and welcome to Episode Seventeen of my podcast novel Trapping a Duchess! There are only six episodes left!   YAY!!!! For those interested, I am nearly three-quarters finished with At Journey’s End, the second book in this series.  The story centers around Lady Alexandra and Viscount Winterley and promises to be just as fun as TAD has been!

In Episode 16, Sophie and Andrew came to an arrangement of sorts.  Let’s see how that’s working out for them…

The Season is coming to an end…
And with it, our hero’s patience.  Will Sophie come to terms with her feelings in time or will Andrew have to take more drastic measures?

Trapping a Duchess – Episode 16

Hello, everyone and welcome to Episode Sixteen of my podcast novel Trapping a Duchess! We’re back after a few weeks of flu and other insanity!!!

In episode 15, Sophie received a note from Andrew that brings to mind having her cake and eating it, too.  Well, to Sophie’s mind, at least.

The scandalously delicious third waltz…
Sophie gets some alone time with Andrew, but does she have what it takes to play his game?

As always, I would like to remind everyone that this novel contains adult themes and explicit sexual content and is intended for a mature audience. :)

She’s Write About That – Prepping for NaNoWriMo (Vol VIII)

She's Write Logo

Happy Sunday, all and welcome back to She’s Write About That! I have one word for you today: NaNoWriMo.

Okay, okay, so it’s not really a word.  But for the month of November, National Novel Writer’s Month will be a hot topic and by the time those thirty days have passed, many novelists will have poured blood, sweat and tears into meeting their 50,000 word writing goal.  Why?  Because all writers are a little bit crazy….but in a good way.  We are constantly searching for way to improve and not above tapping into a little insanity if we can get something out of it.

This is my first year participating in NaNoWriMo and I have to tell you, I feel the same combination of excitement and terror that I feel when I go into a haunted house.  I decided to join in the fun over a month ago and from that moment on, my brain became a plotting machine.

Trapping a Duchess – Episode 15

Hello, everyone and welcome to Episode Fifteen of my podcast novel Trapping a Duchess! I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support.  You have truly been wonderful and I cannot express my thanks enough!  :)

In episode 14, all hell broke loose.  Well, maybe not ALL hell, but neither Sophie nor Andrew escaped that episode unscathed.

The terms of our arrangement…
Just when Sophie’s world seems to have tilted on its axis, she gets yet another surprise.  Is the offer tempting enough, or will Andrew be forced to sweeten the deal?

As always, I would like to remind everyone that this novel contains adult themes and explicit sexual content and is intended for a mature audience. :)

She’s Write About That – I Don’t Need No Stinking Editor (Vol VII)

She's Write Logo

Happy mid-week, all and welcome back to She’s Write About That! The topic of the week is self-editing.

It sounds so…clinical, as if I might be able to walk into my doctor’s office and say “I self-edited myself in the shower this morning; I think I may have found a lump…”

Anyway…back to the topic at hand.

Self-editing.  Hmmm…I had to actually think hard about this one, because I never really considered the way I edit.  I mean, of course I do it, I just never really thought about it in terms of process.  This was a great exercise for me, because I realized that I actually have a process.  When I write, I have a specific way of going about things.  I start with my idea, brainstorm the hell out of it and then get down to business.  By that time, I’ve usually got a pretty good idea of what I want to say and, since I continue brainstorming along the way, I don’t worry.
